Intro

Ivy Lettings is a boutique short term lettings agency catering to leisure and business visitors to London. Established in June 2009 by Guy van der Westhuizen, the firm has achieved fantastic early growth, currently managing a portfolio of 75+ central London properties and arranging over 100 lets to date.

Opportunity

Operating in an exciting and original niche, we aim to further expand our portfolio of properties and seize a greater share of the vast market of accommodation-seekers in London. Our unique offering has attracted a good deal of press coverage at home (The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail and Daily Candy) and abroad (including The Australian and various NZ newspapers) and our reputation is steadily growing.

Position

We are looking for an associate to help pursue the rich opportunities that lie ahead. The role is very broad and much of it involves being out and about in London. Generally, it comprises:

• Business development: working independently and alongside marketers to strengthen Ivy’s market presence and product offering;
• Arranging lets: generous commission-driven scheme to increase turnover; and
• Managing lets: checking clients in and out of properties at the beginning and end of lets.

The successful applicant will be:

• very energetic, practically minded, a ‘self-starter’;
• highly organised;
• very personable and able to engage quickly with clients in person, over the phone and via email;
• creative;
• commercial; and have:
• strong written and oral communication skills;
• a full driver’s license and be willing to drive a scooter* (provided); and
• a Bachelor's degree.

*scooter driving is not essential but makes working ‘in the field’ 90% easier and 100% funner.

This is a unique opportunity to work as part of an exciting enterprise. It would ideally suit somebody who’s reluctant to pursue an institutional desk job, instead preferring to gain invaluable experience growing a company, using and developing a broad range of skills. Most importantly, it’s a highly enjoyable and satisfying job!

Compensation

£15-25,000 basic salary, plus generous commission, target bonus and share options
