Guy van der Westhuizen
Founder & Managing Director
Guy established Ivy in June 2009 following a career in the City, working first as a finance lawyer at London law firm Linklaters then investment bank Morgan Stanley. Guy studied French & Spanish at the University of Bristol before moving to London in 2001, where he lives with his wife, Mary, and their four children. He is a passionate traveller and photographer, regularly visiting the United States where he loves to explore and photograph the national parks of California and the Rocky Mountains. Guy's role is to ensure Ivy delivers excellent service to both our hosts and guests, and to source London's finest homes for Ivy's portfolio.
Edana joined Ivy following six years in the hospitality industry. As an International Studies graduate and an avid traveller, Edana translates her years of customer service experience into ensuring Ivy’s guests enjoy their stays with us. She is also responsible for managing the team and daily operations at Ivy.
Head of Sales
Sophie is a History graduate from the University of Warwick. She has visitor services experience working directly at notable sites including Buckingham Palace and the House of Commons, following which she worked in graduate recruitment at Goldman Sachs. With a passion for travelling herself and a love for London, she enjoys helping Ivy guests find their perfect location to stay in her home city.
Sonia has worked for Ivy since 2017, after moving to London from her native Serbia where we she worked for several years as an office manager. She joined the Ivy team initially as housekeeper, and now runs our cleaning team and liaises directly with our hosts regarding all housekeeping matters. A student of economics, accounting and business, Sonia is also fluent in Russian and Spanish.
Eliza is an English, Media and Communications graduate from Christchurch, New Zealand. After a few years in the radio industry, Eliza was looking for an adventurous new challenge, so she made the move to London. With a passion for travel and organisation, she ensures guests have the best experience in London from the moment they book with Ivy.
Reservations & Customer Service
Leah joined the team following a move back to London having spent the last 10 years in Sydney, Australia. She has a great interest in property after studying Interior Design and working within the Real Estate Industry for 6 years, which has lead to ample experience in customer service and a detailed approach ensuring Ivy’s guests have smooth and happy stays with us.
George is a versatile handyman, with a Diploma in Electrics. Originally from Croatia, George has worked as a certified tour guide and operator throughout Europe, before turning his hand to hospitality maintenance while travelling South America. He’s even fluent in Spanish, plus a little French and Italian! George loves meeting Ivy’s clients from around the world and he’s always happy to help solve any issues you may have during your stay.
