23 Feb 18- Visiting London
With temperatures slowly crawling up to double digits, the sun beginning to peek out earlier in the mornings, and pink blossoms soon to be blooming, we love March. There’s so much to do in London to fully take advantage of the brighter days, and start off Spring with a leap and a bound.
Garden of Light
4000 illuminated daffodils are cropping up all over London to mark the Great Daffodil Appeal this March, each being crafted by hand to represent the people helped by this charity. Head to Paternoster Square to walk through the installation, which also contains a series of stained glass walls, and listen to testimonies from patients and their families describing the care and hard work provided by the staff at Marie Curie.

Following the shocking revelations of 2017, and in the year marking the 100th anniversary of some women receiving the vote in the UK, celebrate women and girls around the world at the WOW festival. The London festivities are based in the Southbank Centre, providing a platform to celebrate female achievements, and discussing the future. Visit the WOW site for more information.
Winnie the Pooh
For the child in all of us, hop on a tube and head to the Victoria & Albert Museum in South Kensington to rediscover the universal appeal of this silly old bear through sketches, letters, photographs, and fashion. For more information, see here.

Orchid Festival
For the 23rd year, Kew Gardens is celebrating the beautiful orchid, this year with a particular focus on the native flora of Thailand. Its tropical greenhouse will be brimming with a huge range of the flower, and the hanging bouquets, floating umbrellas and orchid palace are most definitely worth a visit.

Easter Weekend

Rooftop Stargazing
Head to Spitalfields’ gastropub The Culpeper for a fantastic rooftop astronomy session in honour of its namesake, astrologist Nicholas Culpeper. An expert will guide you on your nighttime adventure, complete with food and wine before heading to the rooftop to explore the sky. Don’t worry about the cold, hot cocktails will be available.
