Queens Gate II South Kensington

Fantastic location - The unit was as expected - Would recommend!

For the price the kitchen should be a bit easier to cook and wash dishes. It isn’t a place for cooking for more than one, maybe two. However, we loved our stay here! We were with our 2 adult children and each of us had so much space and the the ability to relax and feel very much at home. One of us had to have a work space, and it was perfect. The apartment is more spacious and prettier than photos. We could not have been happier with the apartment and the location. We highly recommend this spot and accommodation as a place to thoroughly enjoy all that London has to offer!!

A really spacious apartment in a great area of London. Travelling with 2 kids it is great for them to have their own room and their own beds. It is not a light apartment, but you don’t really go to London in winter for lots of natural light. The location is great, especially for kids. Right a cross from the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum and walking distance to Hyde Park. Picadilly line from Gloucester Rd or South Kensington super convenient for everything else. Kitchen could be better stocked is our only criticism. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

The staff at Ivy try to accommodate every wish. We arrived at Queens Gate II and could not connect to the internet. By the time we returned late afternoon, they had solved the problem. Flat was so comfortable for myself, grown daughter, and 2 grandkids, ages 7 and 9. We loved it there. Location is .3 mi to tube stop, groceries and restaurants. Highly recommend for family or 2 couples.

The apartment was great. It was VERY spacious. It had all the amenities we needed in a very comfortable space to relax in. It was pretty quiet despite being on a main street. The location was ideal, walking distance to museums and two tube stations. Very nearby. We stayed with our two children who enjoyed the space which provided good wind down time.

Clean accommodation with all the amenities including great wifi. Convenient to all the attractions, transit links, restaurants and shops. Great for a family or 2 couples as there are 2 bathrooms. The building was very quiet as well.

I came across Ivy while looking for a flat for a sisters trip. I am so glad I did! What an easy company to deal with. They were prompt with email replies to my random questions. I even received an email verifying I had received the flat information and how to pick up the keys. I would highly recommend Ivy and hope to use them again. We stayed at Queens Gate II. It was perfect for 3 sisters with 3 beds and 2 baths. There was plenty of room for us to spread out. We felt very safe in the flat. We were told by a server in a nearby pub that things in the area close down at 11 because of the embassies in the area. We were fine with that as it contributed to the safe feeling we had but if you’re looking to party this is the wrong area. It was close to tube stations and the bus stopped right outside, or you can easily walk from this location. The space was very clean which we appreciated. It was also well decorated and felt very spacious. We didn’t really use the kitchen and my sister couldn’t figure out the coffee pot, but that was minimal. We didn’t notice a lot of street noise inside beyond some construction being done directly outside one day. We did hear an upstairs neighbor yelling at his barking dog at various times during the week. We still called it perfect and home for our fabulous trip to London.

Overall wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our stay with Ivy Lettings. The space was just as listed and was incredibly clean and tidy for our arrival. Check-in was straight forward and check-out was simple. Our group split into two stays - one Ivy Lettings, one AirBnB - and I'm beyond glad we booked the Ivy booking as communication was much simpler and the flat much more accommodating and cleaner than the airbnb.

Renting from Ivy has been a pleasure. I have used this company twice so far and each time I have had excellent service and beautiful properties. The accommodations are always well appointed and look exactly like the pictures. The service is quick and very professional. On this current trip, we were staying a beautiful Kensington apartment and we had a small issue with the drainage in the kitchen. One email to Ivy and they had a plumber there (on a Sunday). I will be travelling to London several times for the next few years, and I will only be renting from Ivy.

This was a very large place in a very safe a s friendly neighborhood. My wife and I plus two kids ( two kids under 10) had plenty of room in the flat and loved the location ! Highly recommend

Very easy for rail travel to anywhere in London. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Beautiful location. 

This place was ideal for what we wanted to do in London. It felt very home like when we returned every night from a busy day. The hosts were very easy to work with and very accommodating to our arrival schedule. Thanks for making our first trip to London wonderful!!

This apartment is perfect! It was exactly as shown online. Very clean, spacious, and in a great location about 5 min from the Gloucester tube station. He and the management company were very quick in responding to questions and offered great suggestions for London when asked. Check-in was super easy and there was someone there to help us get in and show us around the apartment. I would definitely stay here again.

We found the Ivy Lettings team helpful and accommodating. We would recommend them as they responded when we had questions and check in was very simple. The flat Queens Gate 2 was in a superb location almost diagonally opposite the Natural History Museum. Though a little tired (peeling paint in one bedroom, a few downlights not working and seemed like a cheap cosmetic finish overall), it had comfortable beds and the showers worked well. For the location we felt the price was excellent. We found the lack of any plugs for the two kitchen sinks a little inconvenient especially as the small dishwasher didn't actually fit the dinner plates or the wine glasses. The cooking pot didn't have a lid. It was the little things like those which made us feel like it was set up for holiday rentals without someone having stayed in it first to experience how it would function. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and though the neighbours above were extremely noisy until very late every night except once over the week, we found the flat to be otherwise quiet considering the busy area it was in. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The location is perfect. Easy walk to both South Kens and Gloucester tube stops and the 74 route bus stops outside the flat!! The flat is spacious and gives plenty of room whilst staying. Two beds rooms and two baths make getting ready easy. The small kitchen is enough space for cooking or morning coffee. If you are not used to city noise then a noise machine or ear plugs might be handy in the 1st bedroom but the back bedroom is quiet as a field mouse. Both beds are comfortable and pillows great. But the greatest part of the property is its location!! If you get a chance to stay here you should!!

The apartment is brilliant , it's large and bright even as an apartment below ground level. Modern and well furnished with massive amounts of storage space. Communication was great before and during our stay... everyone was very professional and polite. The area is excellent for a family stay ..safe and quite at night ..lively and full of everything you need durning the day. Would highly recommend this apartment for a family or small group!

“This flat is gorgeous and clean, and in a terrific location: about a two block walk from Gloucester Road station, across the street from the Museum of Natural History, and right next to a bus stop. We were able to get to all the sights in London easily and also had some nice dining options close by (that were included in the handy welcome book.) It was nice to have two bathrooms that each had a shower or tub. Please be aware that there are steep steps down from the street, and also steps up to one bathroom and steps up to the tub/shower in the other bathroom. There is a small step up to the kitchen area as well. Our group (2 adults, 4 kids aged 1-7) did not have an issue with the steps, but others might. Kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the host (a management company) was generally quick and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate an early check in on short notice. The washer/dryer is temperamental -- it broke while we were there, despite us following the instructions, so be aware of that too. Overall a positive experience and a good fit for our family of 6.”
