Description
Welcome to Cromwell Crescent. Take a step through the private lower ground entrance into the luminous luxury of the perfect central London vacation rental. This Kensington garden flat really does have it all – from a large open plan reception, dining area and kitchen bathed in natural light, which leads directly onto a private paved garden. This exceptional home truly is a little idyll, ideal for family groups, friends or corporate travellers who want easy access to the city centre.

Living & Eating
A large living area leads directly out onto a beautifully kept, charm of a garden. A couple of generous sofas provide soothing comfort for tired limbs, and the large and well-lit kitchen that adjoins it contains everything necessary for preparing a meal. 

Bedrooms& Bathrooms
Two roomy and comfortable double bedrooms provide all one could desire – soft neutral décor and stylish double beds (4.5 ft wide). Each bedroom leads onto en-suite bathrooms, complete with bathtubs and shower attachments – you will be spoilt for choice! There are two double sofa beds in the living room to accommodate an additional four guests. There is a third cloakroom/WC located in the hallway of the London vacation rental and a separate laundry/storage room in the vaults.

Access & Layout
Located on the lower ground floor, the only steps are those from the street to the vacation home's main entrance. Once inside this apartment is arranged across one level. Please note there are a few additional steps in the garden.

On Your Doorstep
Families will never be short of things to do in this part of London – children will be enthralled by the splendours and curiosities of the Natural History Museum. Very central and cosmopolitan, but also enjoying the luxury of residential tranquility, it is no surprise that writers, artists and actors have always flocked to this part of town. Those who love to shop are also in the ideal location: Harrods is down the road, as is Harvey Nichols, and all around you will find wonderful antique shops (including the brilliantly named ‘Butchoff’, which is at the top of Kensington Church Street, and is well worth a visit) and small boutiques, like Yastik, which sells only cushions. This area is home to many and various restaurants, bars and pubs, including the Michelin starred Launceston Place, and The Greyhound pub, the favourite London haunt of J.R.R Tolkein. A wonderful farmer’s market takes place every Saturday up off Kensington Church Walk, and the Whole Foods Market on High Street Kensington provides all you need for every culinary occasion, as well as being a joy to browse.

The company was most helpful and quick to respond during the whole search and booking process. They even made arrangements for us to pick up our keys to the place early when our flight landed several hours before first available check in slot. Upon arrival, we found the location extremely accessible to the underground, a post office, grocery, dry cleaners, restaurants and hospital. The proximity to the Royal Albert was great too. The neighborhood is clean and well kept and we felt extremely safe, even being out till late in the evening. The apartment itself was spacious and bright with and small atrium and windows in both bedrooms were large. Didn't feel like it was below street level at all! The ceilings are high throughout and when the bathrooms had a generous size. It would be perfect for two singles, two couples or a small family. Some of the furniture has changed since the advertisement photos were posted but we found it all to be quite comfortable. Loved the heated flooring the the bathrooms. If I ever make it back to London (fingers crossed) I would not hesitate to use these people again or to even stay in this specific apartment. Things to note though before choosing this particular property- the stairs down to the front door are somewhat steep and could be slick when wet, so if you have trouble with that sort of thing, perhaps pick a street level property. That said I went up and down them with a huge suitcase and in high heels several times no problems, just use care. The only other thing that might be a concern for some- the bathtub in the second bedroom is very tall and could be difficult for some to get in and out of. My only suggestion would be to install a small handle on the wall to help with getting in and out. Yes the laundry room had a bit of a damp smell but this is a below street level apartment and in my opinion, the smell could be expected for that type of room. However you could tell they take great care with their property and keeping it neat, clean and good repair. Do yourself a favor and forgo a hotel for this price comparable option and really feel at home in this lovely city! This company has many properties in many different locations so I can't imagine you not finding one close to what you want to see! Cheers!

I would recommend the apartment for singles, couples, or even families (my family travelled). Nice and clean with a very comfortable bed. Plenty of light enters the house through windows in rooms plus most of all the backyard patio. Easy access to tube station (Earls Court) which is very well connected to city centre, Westminster, and Heathrow. You can also walk to Gloucester Rd, Museum and Harrods. Well done and thanks for a great stay.

 Cromwell Crescent was perfect for our week stay in London. My husband and I were traveling with my best friend and her grown son. The flat's layout was ideal. The bedrooms are situated for maximum privacy. The common area is open and spacious. We were able to use the outdoor area to enjoy the unusually warm London weather. A true plus in my book! The flat is located very near Earl's Court tube station with many restaurants and pubs close by. We enjoyed eating the lunch buffet at the Warwick Arms. There is a Tesco about a block away which made food shopping convenient. One day we walked to the Victoria & Albert Museum, which is very close to Harrod's. I will definitely refer this rental to anyone I know traveling to London. I would move in permanently if I could!

Really handy with the tube - we were out and about most days but really liked coming 'home' to this apartment. My bestie and I had this trip planned in our minds and hearts for years. We worried that we'd not be able to meet our own expectations. Well, Cromwell Crescent and Ivy Lettings met and far exceeded them! The 2 Alices (Alyce and Alice) at Ivy Lettings took very good care of all of our details. A beautiful car was waiting for us at Heathrow afer our loooong flight. We got to Cromwell Crescent bit early (the housekeeper was still there) but we plopped down in our HUGE bedrooms and squelched our squeals of delight until the door closed behind her. THEN we squealed our hearts out (sorry upstairs neighbor)! It's a delight from front door to patio. Everything we needed and wifi?!! Wow. Nicely decorated in modern black and white (white slipcovers in living room a bit dingy). We realize that it's a bit expensive, but SO worth it. It's close to not one, but TWO train stops ((Earl's Court and South Kensington) and too many fun pubs and restaurants to count. We did take out and visited a close-by grocer too. The beds are what Americans would call standard or regular size. Bring an outlet adapter for UK outlet conversion. Loved it. Would recommend it to anyone (no parties allowed - though).

Friends from… Read more Flat at 4a Cromwell Crescent is luxurious. Tucked below grade of a Victorian town house it is very modern! Space is light and bright, very quiet and charming. Friends from London who stopped by thought it posh and our college aged children loved it as well. The beds and bedding were very comfortable the 2 full baths large with big soaking tubs and the addition of a powder room for guests was a bonus. The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed to make breakfast, lunch or dinner with plenty of glassware for toasts in the garden. Such a treat to travel and be able to lounge in your jams over coffee and breakfast planning your day. Pictures posted are very representative of the flat although it is even a little more spacious than it shows.Location is close to full service grocery and 2 blocks from Earls Court Tube. We found charming restaurants and bars with in a few blocks and enjoyed the locals far from the typical tourist haunts. The team at Ivy Lettings was very helpful as well. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer! We will be back

We were two couples in town to go to a show at Earl's Court, but decided to make a bit of a trip out of it. This home is really handy for the Exhibition Centre...easy walk there. But it surpassed our expectations, as did Earl's Court- we didn't realise there were so many eateries. Would highly recommend Ashbee's Wine Bar!
