LIVING & EATING
The living room in this splendid property boasts enough room to comfortably seat all of your party in soft, deep-set sofas and an antique style leather armchair. When it comes to suppertime, the Georgian dining room is one of the most beautiful features in the house and is of graceful proportions, featuring a polished wooden dining table and beautifully upholstered chairs to seat eight. For more casual dining and informal family meals, there is seating for six in the large eat-in kitchen. An amalgamation of old and new, the kitchen comes complete with every modern convenience you could wish for, along with a traditional flagged floor and a cream range-style Aga cooker. Even more seating options can be found in the privately walled garden, which is complemented by a soft lawn, stone patio area and classic garden bench.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The master bedroom is decorated in calming shades of duck egg blue and natural stone with a super king bed (6ft wide), and private en suite, this is most certainly fitting as a resting place for the lord or lady of the manor. A further double bedroom with a double bed (4.5ft wide) can be found on the top floor of the house, with its sloping ceilings and pretty paneled window overlooking the street below. Two more single bedrooms (one with an additional single trundle bed to accommodate a further guest) are perfect for children, bursting with bedtime storybooks. A final bedroom houses a small child’s bed, ideal for the youngest member of your party. Filled with books, stuffed animals and toys, you may not here from them for hours! On the landing is the family bathroom with a bath large enough to relax in and a hand over-the-bath shower. There are two further conveniently placed WC downstairs on the ground and basement levels.

This property is a generous whole house and as such has three flights of stairs. The house comes with private, off street parking.
ON YOUR DOORSTEP
In a quiet family neighbourhood, this property is the perfect mix of city living, being located well within the bounds of central zone 2, while maintaining a suburban feel. Walking left out of the house and following the road round you will shortly find yourself at the edges of Clapham Common’s green expanses, with a classically British bandstand, wild woodland areas, a beautiful fountain, sports pitches and acres of green grassy flats- perfect for picnicking on.
If you are quite content to stay near home there really is no need to leave the immediate vicinity, with a small cinema round the corner for evening entertainment, a myriad of bars, restaurans and cafes you could spend weeks exploring all that the Common and its surrounds offer. Try Brickwood coffee & Bread for delicious rustic breakfasts and barista coffee in a courtyard setting. In the evening there is a small restaurant, serving seasonal and exquisite food just on the fringes of the Common called The Dairy that has a wonderful tasting menu. And if the children have been very good then you could treat them to the self-titled, ‘best ice cream in London’ at Nardulli’s gelato parlour- we think it’s pretty good for adults too.
Next to one of London's most green spaces, this family-friendly vacation rental is the ideal base for sightseeing and exploring the Capital.
