On Your Doorstep
This property is located in the quiet residential area of Clapham, well located in zone two but with a laid-back atmosphere. A popular area of London that boasts great amenities - including countless cafes, restaurants and bars. This home is a 14-minute walk, or short bus ride, to Clapham South underground station with strong transport links to the rest of the city, consequently staying at Elms Street you are perfectly situated to explore all the city has to offer.
Right next to the tube station is the expansive Clapham Common, an oasis of green in busy southwest London, with a classically British bandstand, wild woodland areas, a beautiful fountain, sports pitches and acres of green grassy flats- perfect for picnicking. This space has many child-friendly facets – there are two playgrounds, and three ponds, perfect for feeding ducks!
For drinks head to No.32 The Old Town is a hugely popular stylish bar and restaurant, and is always very busy over the weekend, it’s a great place to have a glass of wine, or two. Venn Street Records is slightly livelier and they have live music every Thursday and serve great cocktails. For food head to Dairy, a contemporary bistro that offers dishes that will surprise and delight the taste buds, or Trinity hailed as Clapham’s best restaurant, pricey, but fantastic food. For brunch head to The Breakfast Club, Tart or Ben’s Canteen in Battersea. And Nardulli’s gelato parlour boasts the best ice-cream in London, try for yourself. We'd also highly recommend the Fifteenth of May, on Abbeville Road, for superb seasonal food.
