The house is old but is very well maintained and is exceptionally charming. The decor is reasonable and clean, and all applicances worked perfectly. Ideally located for those visiting London for the first time, I can highly recommend this home, but it’s certainly not cheap so the best value is probably offered for a larger family or group.

We had a very special time in London. Ivy Lettings was very communative from booking to check out. Loved working with them. The flat we had was perfect for our large group at a great value for the length of time we stayed. I would definitely book with Ivy Lettings the next time we are lucky enough to visit London again.

I could not have been more pleased. The owners were very nice. Some of the little things when you travel and use VBRO stand out. I've always brought my own shampoo and soap. It's not a hotel and you need to be prepared. They had all of that in every bathroom. I didn't use it but it was a great gesture. Additionally, the location was perfect for us. I've stayed in many other locations but not next to Regent's Park. It's really close to the London Zoo, right around the corner is a fabulous pub (I didn't go to it but the crowd was always vibrant). The Sherlock Holmes museum was, again, right around the corner. We didn't attend that either but probably should have. Nicely furnished, beautiful patios. Was great!! Now, things to consider if you haven't traveled to this area of London. There is no AC. I personally don't care about that. Fans were all around the house. Also, apartments in London are usually several floors. If you have a special needs child or an elderly guest you need to take that into consideration. Otherwise...that was great exercise for me. I took my triplets, age 12 and my oldest daughter and her friend. More room than needed for sure! Close markets also, so we stocked up the important items. As of writing this, there is construction out front. We needed to instruct Uber to collect us at the Sherlock Holmes museum. That worked out really well because all the drivers knew where to go. I learned how to use a coffee press, probably should have known how to do that but didn't. The washer and dryer is a combination appliance. It will take more time to wash clothes if you are accustom to the appliances in the US. You are down wind from that great pub...so sitting on the patio is going to make you hungry :) All and all, you can't go wrong with this place. Nice decor, great history and location, wonderful owners!!!

We stayed 11 nights through the New Year with 6 adults. The house is in a tremendous location located within a 3 minute walk to St. Regents Park, Sherlock Holmes Museum, Baker Street Tube, groceries, a terrific pub, and many other conveniences. St. Regents was the best park we saw in London and was great to be near and see from the upper windows. Park Road has everything we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped when we cooked Christmas dinner without a hitch. As soon as we arrived from Texas we were able to drop our bags off in the early morning. Also located very close by is Marylebone and Paddington train stations which is great for when you want to get out of town to Bath, Windsor or really anywhere you want to go. At the end of the day the House is quiet and sleeping was never an issue as the beds were comfortable. One of the really nice things about the house is the master bathroom. The very large deep tub is just the ticket for unwinding and relaxing after shopping and sightseeing. Such a great place to stay with a larger crowd when you need ample space, and the ability to get anywhere in London very quickly with the ability to take care of yourself easily and be able to bring some of the treasures of London back to enjoy unlike a hotel.

Our family gathered in London for the Thanksgiving holiday and stayed at the Park Road house. It worked really well for us! The location is terrific, close to the Baker Street Station and to Regent's Park. The house is a bit quirky, with one or two rooms per floor, but that added to its charm. The house was ready for us when we arrived with an Ivylettings rep meeting us and walking through the house. The linens were fresh, there were plenty of towels and toiletries. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.

My family and I planned this trip to London for almost a year. There are six of us, my wife and I, and our four children age 5 to 13, so we tend to stay in vacation rentals for longer trips. We all loved this place. It was really nice and exactly what we expected. Everything was immaculate. The kitchen is full of all kinds of dishes, utensils, and pretty much everything you need. There are books and movies everywhere. The electronics were superb, from the LCD TVs to the Wii to the DVD player. They even had a VCR, which none of my children had ever even heard of. The bathrooms were great. The bedrooms were great. Everything was. There are two outside patios, one on the ground level and one on the basement level (still trying to figure that out!) that were fun for meals. Ivy was great. We were helped by the very professional Alexa who even went grocery shopping for us before we arrived. It was nice having a stocked pantry when we got there. The location is amazing, especially if you have children. Regent's Park is literally across the street. Well, two streets technically, but less than two minutes to get there. The back of the park has the London Zoo and that is a great walk. We paddle boated in the lake and just really enjoyed the park. Next door to the property is a pub which has good food, and next door to it is the famed 221B Baker Street where there were always people waiting to take a photograph. Down Baker Street just a bit is the Underground. You don't even have to cross a big street to get to it, just Baker. That's about it. I would offer a couple of considerations. First, there is wireless Internet in the basement and the connection speed is good. As you go up from there, the signal gets weaker. So if someone needs a connection, I would suggest avoiding the 4th and 5th floors. Second, the property, according to my son, has 68 stairs from the basement to the top floor. I never realized how often I need to go from room to room, which in essence means walking a flight of steps. So consider this when you are assigning rooms. We put our smallest children on the top floor which may not have been the best decision. Oh, finally, if you are an American, get Kate or Alexa to go over the operation of the oven. There are instructions, but it took us awhile to figure the whole system out. That's about it... We are planning a return trip and certainly plan to stay here again.

We loved this house! Beautiful, charming, full of character, and had everything we needed in modern-day appliances. Our travel party consisted of my husband and I, and our four children ages 8-14. There was more than enough space for all of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment system! There were just a few issues we ran into - but nothing that obstructed our stay. There was a faulty shower in the master bath, there was no one to greet us upon arrival to show us how anything worked, and we were overcharged upon checkout. The overage was resolved, though it took six weeks to be refunded. I would still happily stay here again, as it met our needs and was quite convenient with the "tube" just down the street. I would request someone to meet us next time however, as there were a few appliances that were a bit tricky to master. We happened to visit during a surprising heat wave, which made the un-air conditioned house a bit too warm during the days, but we were mostly out during the daytime. We traipsed all over London and wore ourselves out, crashing hard every evening. The locals were very friendly! I highly recommend the 15 minute walk to Seashell Restaurant for the fish and ships! Yum!! A word of caution to those not good with lots of stairs - this house has an abundance! Great for wearing down the kids, not so good for those with knee troubles. Another note, although not a deal-breaker for us, there was no freezer in the kitchen. These are just some things to be aware of when booking.

Stayed here for a huge family holiday, was a really fantastic base to have in London as we are a large family and to have a big space where we can all get together was amazing. Right by Regent’s Park as well. We would recommend the service of this company and can definitely vouch that this home came as described.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here during a Spring Vacation for 5 days with 4 teenagers. The location was perfect - local stores and restaurants for easy dinners and grocery shopping. The area was busy and safe. The Baker Street tube station is less than two blocks away and has a tourist bus stop right out front. This made getting around London very convenient. The rental was clean and contained everything we needed. You do need to be prepared for the large number of steps but the kids had no issues with these. The house has essentially four bedrooms with a mini-apt on the top floor. This made it easy for everyone to have their own space and the multiple bathrooms cut down on arguments and saved time getting ready. I would highly recommend the space and would love to stay there again!
