LIVING & EATING
A large open plan sitting room and dine-in kitchen spans this apartment, opening onto balconies on both sides, one directly overlooking the Portobello Road, the other onto a very large private decked terrace, complete with soft seating, patio furniture and charcoal BBQ.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The apartment has two bedrooms, both with queen size beds. The master bedroom opens onto the private terrace and has an ensuite shower room. The second family bathroom has a bath (with shower over) serves the second bedroom and is situated off the main hallway.
ACCESS & LAYOUT
Located on the first floor, stairs access this apartment from street level. Once inside, the flat is set over a single floor.
This home oozes character and is filled with fascinating pieces of art throughout. The Portobello Road, for all its hustle and bustle, is much quieter than you’d expect since there is little vehicular traffic. The front balcony invites you take in the market and flow of people below. The rear, huge terrace, offers a different, more tranquil feel. The owner of this home owns a dog, and whist all Ivy homes are thoroughly cleaned for our guests’ stays, it may not be suitable for guests with sensitive allergies to pets.
ON YOUR DOORSTEP
As you leave the apartment onto the street, the famous Notting Hill will greet you with open arms, and you’ll be spoiled for options. Ladbroke Grove tube station is just a 5 minutes walk, but before you even reach there, over ten excellent restaurants can be found within one block. Possibly London’s most famous cinema, The Electric, is right across the road. The iconic Notting Hill Bookshop from that movie, is right around the corner. The market is a constant wonder. Weave your way south to Notting Hill Gate (or take a quick direct bus) and you’ll be able to jump onto the Central Line (Underground) which will bring you to the West End in around 15 minutes.
