On Your Doorstep
Marylebone is bounded by Oxford St. to the south and Regent’s Park to the North. Since the 17th century it has been a fashionable and vibrant London community with past residents including Charles Dickens and Lord Byron as well as Arthur Conan Doyle and his creation Sherlock Holmes. Today, Marylebone High Street offers boutiques, some of the finest dining in London and superb, well-stocked supermarkets for those who prefer to eat at home. The area also boasts Madame Tussauds, Wigmore Hall, Baker Street and numerous pubs and gastro-pubs if you need of a pint or some nourishment. Located in zone one, you couldn’t be better situated to enjoy all of London’s cafes, restaurants, shops, theatres and parks - you’ll be spoilt for choice of what to do with your time. If you have little ones with you, why not treat them to an afternoon in Hamleys, London’s most famous toyshop. Hamleys is just a fifteen-minute walk down the buzzing Regent’s St and once you’re there you may as well take a trip round the corner to Selfridge’s to treat yourself! When the weather is on your side make sure to enjoy the boating lake situated in the famous Regent’s park where you can enjoy people watching while bobbing about in your very own rowing boat. Oxford Street - the world famous shopping district - is a five- minute walk from the door and the twists and turns of quirky Carnaby Street not much further.
This Ivy Lettings townhouse is set right by Sherlock Holmes' famous house at 221b Baker Street. Set over three floors, the Ivy Lettings team particularly recommends this London vacation rental to families and large groups looking for 3 bedrooms in the heart of the city.

We made this our home for six nights, sharing it with another couple (late 50's to mid 60's) on our first trip to London. It is located on a nice quiet neighborhood street within walking distance from several nice pubs, a pleasant Middle Eastern restaurant and the Baker Street tube station (not to mention the Sherlock Holmes museum and the Beatles store). The location was perfect, giving us a good starting spot for our daily outings and a homey place to return in the evenings. The place is roomy and afforded both couples privacy as well as comfortable common areas. There are some stairs, but we managed them without difficulty. It is nicely furnished with homey touches and well maintained. There are all the necessary conveniences: Washer Dryer, Dishwasher, 2.5 baths, TV, WIFI etc. Booking was easy, even from the US and the good folks at Ivy Lettings were easy to work with. We were there during a warm spell and found the bedding a bit too warm for the evening temperatures, wishing we had separate sheets or light cotton blankets, but were able to cool things down by opening the windows wide at night. A great location and place to stay. We would happily return.

We had an excellent stay. The house was big and the twin rooms suited our family perfectly - we often have trouble with our kids wanting separate beds which is why we mostly go for hotels. This was a fantastic option and its very central. We were recommended the Marylebone area as we needed to be close to the Regents Park. Beautiful home decor which matched the high standard service.

Impressive service from Ivy Lettings and super house for our family trip. We were recommended to Ivy Lettings through a friend and Alice from the enquiries team recommended this one. The boys loved how close it was to Regents park and we all enjoyed being in the heart of the Baker Street area (so we could make a quick trip to Sherlock Holmes house!) It's a very swish house - a great taste of London living. We'll be back.
