LIVING & EATING
A large and very comfortable living room greets you as you enter from the long hallway, which opens onto an open plan kitchen area, with a dining table in between the two, making for easy and convivial cooking and socialising. (Alternatively, the kitchen can be closed off by a retractable screen if preferred.)
The wooden floors and paneling throughout the apartment lend a comforting and luxurious old-world feel to the home, complemented by very sophisticated lighting. A small, conservatory-style office space off the second bedroom affords seclusion and peace, as does the small adjacent patio. This home will appeal to a range of different guest configurations.
BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
The apartment has two double bedrooms, one with UK king (5ft wide) and the second now has a UK super-king bed (6ft wide) which can also be configured as twin singles (photos above shown in both configurations). The bathroom servicing the master bedroom has a bath with a shower stand, the second bedroom's bathroom with shower stall.
LAYOUT & ACCESS
The home is set on the lower ground level of a residential block. A set of external stairs lets to the entrance and within the flat, there are a couple of steps.

Overall wonderful experience. We really enjoyed our stay with Ivy Lettings. The space was just as listed and was incredibly clean and tidy for our arrival. Check-in was straight forward and check-out was simple. Our group split into two stays - one Ivy Lettings, one AirBnB - and I'm beyond glad we booked the Ivy booking as communication was much simpler and the flat much more accommodating and cleaner than the airbnb.

Renting from Ivy has been a pleasure. I have used this company twice so far and each time I have had excellent service and beautiful properties. The accommodations are always well appointed and look exactly like the pictures. The service is quick and very professional. On this current trip, we were staying a beautiful Kensington apartment and we had a small issue with the drainage in the kitchen. One email to Ivy and they had a plumber there (on a Sunday). I will be travelling to London several times for the next few years, and I will only be renting from Ivy.

This apartment is perfect! It was exactly as shown online. Very clean, spacious, and in a great location about 5 min from the Gloucester tube station. He and the management company were very quick in responding to questions and offered great suggestions for London when asked. Check-in was super easy and there was someone there to help us get in and show us around the apartment. I would definitely stay here again.

We found the Ivy Lettings team helpful and accommodating. We would recommend them as they responded when we had questions and check in was very simple. The flat Queens Gate 2 was in a superb location almost diagonally opposite the Natural History Museum. Though a little tired (peeling paint in one bedroom, a few downlights not working and seemed like a cheap cosmetic finish overall), it had comfortable beds and the showers worked well. For the location we felt the price was excellent. We found the lack of any plugs for the two kitchen sinks a little inconvenient especially as the small dishwasher didn't actually fit the dinner plates or the wine glasses. The cooking pot didn't have a lid. It was the little things like those which made us feel like it was set up for holiday rentals without someone having stayed in it first to experience how it would function. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and though the neighbours above were extremely noisy until very late every night except once over the week, we found the flat to be otherwise quiet considering the busy area it was in. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Ivy did a great job in taking care of us as well. It is a smaller kitchen but the location is so amazing that you don't really need a big kitchen. It has everything you need including a dishwasher...we absolutely loved our stay.”

The location is perfect. Easy walk to both South Kens and Gloucester tube stops and the 74 route bus stops outside the flat!! The flat is spacious and gives plenty of room whilst staying. Two beds rooms and two baths make getting ready easy. The small kitchen is enough space for cooking or morning coffee. If you are not used to city noise then a noise machine or ear plugs might be handy in the 1st bedroom but the back bedroom is quiet as a field mouse. Both beds are comfortable and pillows great. But the greatest part of the property is its location!! If you get a chance to stay here you should!!

The area is excellent for a family stay ..safe and quite at night ..lively and full of everything you need durning the day. Would highly recommend this apartment for a family or small group!

“This flat is gorgeous and clean, and in a terrific location: about a two block walk from Gloucester Road station, across the street from the Museum of Natural History, and right next to a bus stop. We were able to get to all the sights in London easily and also had some nice dining options close by (that were included in the handy welcome book.) It was nice to have two bathrooms that each had a shower or tub. Please be aware that there are steep steps down from the street, and also steps up to one bathroom and steps up to the tub/shower in the other bathroom. There is a small step up to the kitchen area as well. Our group (2 adults, 4 kids aged 1-7) did not have an issue with the steps, but others might. Kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the host (a management company) was generally quick and I appreciated that they were able to accommodate an early check in on short notice. The washer/dryer is temperamental -- it broke while we were there, despite us following the instructions, so be aware of that too. Overall a positive experience and a good fit for our family of 6.”
